Our story
Lecker means delicious.
This is what it tastes like.
Leckerisch — from the German lecker — started in 2026 in an Accra kitchen with a bunch of overripe bananas, good butter, and a stubborn belief that banana bread deserves better.
What began as loaves for friends became loaves for friends of friends, then for strangers who texted “is this the banana bread everyone keeps talking about?”
Today we bake eight banana loaves and three brownies — a deliberately short menu, because short menus keep standards absurdly high. Every order is baked to order in small batches, wrapped by hand, and sent across Accra the same day it leaves the oven. No shelves. No day-olds. No shortcuts.
The little chocolate tile on our boxes — the “Brookie Tile” — is a promise: if it carries the mark, it was baked like it was for family.
Small batches, always
We bake in rounds small enough to watch. If a loaf doesn't leave the oven exactly right, it doesn't leave the kitchen.
Honest ingredients
Real butter, real chocolate, bananas at the exact moment of sweetness. Nothing you'd need a chemistry degree to pronounce.
Finished by hand
Every crumble top, caramel swirl and gift ribbon is placed by a person who cares how it lands on your table.
